The Color Fall

“Have you ever heard of Buffo?”   

One year in 1921 at Taranaki’s Annual carnival ‘The Avalanche’ an unusual clown was hired, all of the kids got scared of him for a reason the clown wasn’t sure of. So he asked “Kid why are you scared?” but the kids never answered him they ran out of the carnival leaving the lonely clown and their parents in dust.  

“Bud, our kids find you frightening and so they don’t like you,” said the parents

“But why don’t they like me?” asked the clown

“Because your face is like a vampire and you’re kind of creepy,” said the parents, the scary clown wasn’t very happy about the occasion so he stopped being happy and joyful and changed to being creepy and murderous. Every time kids walked up to him he would scare them away, each parent that told him to stop he would stare at them with is horrific eyes and the parents would cover their children’s eyes. Once the Avalanche was over, the clown went home.

The next day he went back to the carnival and did the same thing until a brave man came up to him and said: “Stop mate you’re scaring our kids, you should be fired!” The man yelled at him.

The clown followed the man home and hid behind a bush. The next day the man was never to be seen again.

“Mwahaha!” laughed the spine-rattling clown

The Avalanche carnival never returned after that year.

Until…

100 years later,

“Welcome back to the Avalanche!” Said the Avalanche host Jack Trainer.

“Good morning Jack,” Said a stranger politely.

“Hiya!” Everyone was greeting Jack.

“Hi everyone!”

The carnival was starting and everyone was hyped for it to start back up again after 100 years. Even though the legend of the clown was still floating around the Avalanche carnival. Rumor has it that the Avalanche attendees could still hear the clowns eerie laugh in certain places like the clown deck.

There were 3 clowns named Grock, Lou, and Buffo.

Grock had a red afro with size 50 shoes and a saggy rainbow clown suit, Grock was also holding balloons in his white gloves.

Lou had an afro with 3 different colors red, green and blue, instead of Lou having a saggy suit he had a tight suit, but again Lou’s shoes were humongous.

Last and probably least we had Buffo. Buffo was wearing an alarming white mask with a dusty green afro, Buffo had balloons in his hand, but. The balloons had ghostly faces inside.

Kids were always scared of Buffo. Buffo didn’t like that so he went into the food stall and grabbed a knife...
